Let's Go To The Discotheque!! ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿชฉ

This time, we invite you to explore Disco music, including its precursors from the '60s and the early โ€˜70s and its evolution and influences through the following decades. As always in our threads, all artists and songs in any language are very welcome.

I am starting with one of the precursors:

Now That We Found Love by The  O'Jays

Gloria Gaynorโ€™s I Will Survive is an absolute Disco classic, still very popular:

I love that song so much that I have a dedicated dance gif for it!! ๐Ÿ˜‚

And, of course, we have to remember the film Saturday Night Fever (1977), which further enhanced the popularity of Disco music.

Night Fever by Bee Gees

I am sure that more songs from Saturday Night Fever will be posted in the comments. That soundtrack double album was added to the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress of the USA in 2012 for being "culturally, historically, and/or aesthetically significant".

So, letโ€™s enjoy our disco favourites!! And feel free to dance, you know I will!! ๐Ÿชฉ๐Ÿ•บ๐ŸŽถ

All our threads stay open for two weeks, you are welcome to stop by at any time and share your thoughts, music, pics, gifs and memes. ๐ŸŒป
