Who Let The Dogs Out?

The kitties had the run of The Dog House the other day, so it’s only fair that the dogs get their turn!
And today happens to be International Dog Day, so what better time is there?

International Dog Day was founded in 2004 by Colleen Paige, and celebrates all dogs, mutts and purebreds, and aims to draw attention to the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year, either from public shelters or rescues.
It also highlights the roles played by family pets and the many working dogs that save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort and companionship. All over the world, dogs put their lives on the line every day, protecting our families and homes, helping to catch criminals, guiding the visually impaired, assisting the disabled, and helping to locate and rescue victims of accidents and tragedy.

Dogs know how to enjoy the simple things in life and definitely live in the moment! And they want nothing more than to be part of our families and join in with whatever we happen to be doing at the time.
How exciting is a car ride, or barking at a squirrel up a tree?!

Do you have or have you had dogs?
I have had them all my life and would be lost without one around. A house is not a home without pets in it.

Do you have a favourite breed or type of dog?

And does your dog have a set routine for the day?
My Layla is very much a creature of habit! And if you do something once and she likes it, then you are supposed to do that every day. I don’t mind and do spoil her, as she had a very rough start in life.
Most of my dogs have been rescues and usually a wonderful mutt of mixed parentage. I always adopt, not shop.

Today, let’s open The Dog House to the four-legged wonders that are our canine companions, with memes, GIFs, music and memories!

Have a great day, everyone!
