Summertime

I can’t believe we’ve just passed another solstice. Those six months sure flew by!

The summer Solstice occurred in the US yesterday afternoon or last night, depending on your location, and in the UK it happened in the early hours of today at 2:42 UTC (3:42 BST).
But wherever you are in the Northern Hemisphere, here we are at the traditional start of summer, while those in the other hemisphere have set off into winter.

Our wonderfully tilted planet gives us changing day lengths and our seasons.
To me, it would be a bit boring without that. I do like having different seasons.

I am not a heat lover at all, so I am hoping my summer isn’t too hot, although it has got off to an early start this year. But I have air con and fans, so, as the song goes, I will survive!

Do you love the heat?
Or do you prefer something a little more temperate?

Today, let’s celebrate the passing of the Solstice by sharing all things summery—and wintery if that is where you’ve just headed!
Pictures, memes, GIFs, and of course, music are all welcome.
Feel free to share your favourite seasonal songs and dance too, if that’s your thing! 😃

Wherever you are in the world, have a great day, everyone!
